Does Colorado Require You To Obtain A License?
NO. The State only requires you attend a Certification course based on the P.O.S.T (Police
Officers Standard and Training) Board recommend studies for Bail Recovery
Agents and register
your fingerprints with the C.B.I in order to be allowed to perform
services.
I Have A Felony, Can I Still Qualify?
DEPENDS. If your felony was in the last 15 years, then no. However if over
15 years ago, the law states that you meet minimum qualifications.
What Can I Expect To Earn As A Bail Enforcement
Agent?
This is a pretty open question. If you worked full-time and have good
support from your Bail Bondsman then you can easily make $45,000-$60,000 a
year, however, realistically you can expect to make an average $15,000 for
your first year or two (part-time).
I Am Only 20, Do I Still Qualify?
YES. If you look in our blogs, there is one titled “Bail Enforcement
Agent Requirements”. There is no set age limit as long as you are over 18
years old.
Do I Still Have To Take A CCW Class To Carry A Weapon?
YES. This training is not a substitute for State approved CCW courses.
We can recommend a few good courses to take if you are interested in this.
Are You A State Certified School?
HONESTLY, THERE IS NO SUCH THING IN THIS INDUSTRY! We are State
Approved as a course provider by the Colorado Division of Insurance. In order to be approved your record as an
Agent has to be strong and in good standing, your course materials have to
be approved and you must meet minimum standards to certify new Agents.
We are also on the approved list for the State of Colorado's Workforce
W.I.A Training Programs.
How Difficult Is The Certification Course?
This
depends on your learning level. We have designed our course so that
everyone will learn the material and understand it. It is similar to
taking a law class, however we simplified it to help you better understand
what the law states.
Where Do I Get My Fingerprint Cards From?
We
actually provide them to you as part of your course. If you lose
yours or you need to get another one, you have to contact the Colorado
Bureau of Investigations and ask them how to get a hold of the State
Supply Office.
