(Bail Bonding Regulations)

The Colorado Division of Insurance is the division of the Department of Regulatory Agencies of the State of Colorado that is assigned to assist, monitor, govern and enforce all aspects of the Bail Bonding Industry.   The Division of Insurance is not a Law Enforcement Agency in the State of Colorado.

The CBI provides criminal investigative support to Law Enforcement agencies within the state of Colorado. The Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS) enables the CBI to prevent, detect and investigate criminal activity throughout the state.

The mission of the Fugitive Location and Apprehension Group (F.L.A.G.) is to promote a collaborated multi-agency effort to identify, investigate, and apprehend dangerous federal, state and local fugitives in the Denver-metropolitan/Front Range area. Also to encourage maximum cooperation between all law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies, and insuring the safety of both law enforcement personnel and the public, accomplished in an efficient manner within constitutional guidelines.

 The Fugitive Apprehension Task Force provides fugitive location and apprehension services by contract to District Attorney Offices and Bail Bondsmen in the State of Colorado. We also provide bond revocation and collection services as well as collateral repossession services to sureties and D.A.'s on a case by case situation. In 2001, founder J.P. Sheets saw a need for honest, reliable and ethical Bail Recovery Agents and Private Investigators in the State of Colorado. He established the Investigative Security Service in 2003 and provided these services on a limited basis until assigned overseas. Upon returning from serving the country, Mr. Sheets re-opened the Investigative Security Service under a new name; Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, and began working on an open basis for District Attorneys and Bail Bondsman in the Denver Metro Area. Since this time, Mr. Sheets has earned himself a great reputation as on of Colorado's most ethical and honest Recovery Agent. The Fugitive Apprehension Task Force follows his mandate to always operate on a moral, honest, ethical and reliable standard.
